Mere moments before I jumped off the platform.
During the three months I spent in New Zealand, I managed to cram the most insane activities the country offers into a two week period. They were the most action packed and heart-pumping weeks of my life. From luging and jet boating, to glacier hiking and black water rafing, as well as a little sky diving and bungy jumping, I don’t think I could have pushed myself to my limits more completely. Check out my gallery below of the craziest things I could do during my time in beautiful New Zealand.
All geared up and ready for some white water rafting on the North Island, New Zealand. Ready for some rapids. One of our rafts got hung up in the rapids and we had to wait for the guides to free it. Taking the opportunity to float down some Class I rapids at the end of the rafting trip. In Rotorua to try out some Luging for the first time. A beautiful location and great tracks to ride down. All geared up to play a little real life Mario Kart. We're all lined up ready to go. Abseiling 35m down into a deep, dark, wet, cave A little underground cliff jumping in the Waitomo Caves Climbing out of the cave system through a waterfall after 5 hours underground. Enjoying jet boating with a quick photo op in front of New Zealand's Huka Falls. A stellar action shot of a 360 on the jet boat A quick photo in front of the Franz Josef glacier on the South Island. The glacier just happens to be in a temperate rainforest. A little fun climbing into crevasses in the glacier and needing to get pulled out. Drinking some crisp, cool, and refreshing glacier water. Hanging out in a hole in the ice on the glacier. Checking out the Zorbing hill on the North Island in Rotorua. Riding down the zig-zag Zorbing track. Inside the Zorb ball at the end of the ride. Across the road at Agroventures Swoop which is 40 meters high. You get to pull the cord yourself and fall/swing down towards the ground. It's a bit terrifying. A view on the Swoop, 40 meters up just moments before we pulled the cord. Flying down on the swoop with my German friend. Skydiving on the North Island Just moments before we jumped out of a plane 15,000 feet above Taupo on the North Island. And away we go! Falling through the air at 3000 feet every 15 seconds A safe and successful landing. The stunning view at Taupo Bungy. You can even choose to be dipped in the water if you're up for it. Getting all geared up in the safety equipment. There were some major butterflies in my stomach. Mere moments before I jumped off the platform. And on the count of three I jumped! 47 meter bungy jump.
